In production, knowing a machine's status is only the starting point. You need to understand why it stopped, which parameters were active, how many parts were processed and what the inspection results were.
A SCADA system designed around the process makes this information available and understandable, helping production, maintenance and quality teams work with consistent data.
A partner for development and integration
PLCynapse supports machine builders and manufacturers in developing new supervision systems, upgrading existing systems and integrating them with other company software.
We work with Siemens SIMATIC WinCC Unified, AVEVA solutions within the Schneider Electric ecosystem, Ignition and Movicon. Alongside these platforms, we develop in-house C# software to create applications, communication services and custom features.
The choice of solution starts with the process: devices to connect, information to manage, ways of using the system and future maintenance needs.
From machine to database
We connect PLCs, robots and field devices to supervision systems and databases, organising the collection and storage of production data.
Depending on project requirements, this information may include:
- Machine states, alarms and events.
- Production quantities, cycle times and downtime.
- Processing parameters and measured values.
- Test and quality inspection results.
- References to parts, batches and production orders.
The value of data also depends on its context. A measurement linked to the correct part, processing stage and time helps reconstruct what happened and supports fault analysis.
Reliability is also tested when something goes wrong
Communication can fail. A value may be out of date. A database can become temporarily unavailable.
These conditions must be considered when designing the software: the operator must be able to recognise the fault, and the system must handle it according to defined rules. Where necessary, temporary storage and recovery mechanisms must be provided and checked to ensure they do not cause data loss or duplication.
Testing must therefore follow the entire information path: from field acquisition to display, recording and subsequent retrieval.
Software built around your production
A clear interface, useful diagnostics and accessible data help people understand the process and make better-informed interventions.
